GODSENT have booked the first spot in the quarter-finals of the WESG EU & CIS Regional Finals after topping Group A with a perfect 4-0 record.
The Swedish team, who are attending the event with two stand-ins, Hampus "hampus" Poser and Jacob "pyth" Mourujärvi, came through their group unscathed despite a slow start to their campaign as they were made to work hard to beat Endpoint in the opening round of matches.
With Simon "twist" Eliasson and Joakim "disco doplan" Gidetun averaging above 1.50 ratings, GODSENT finished ahead of Danylo "Zeus" Teslenko's Ukraine, with NOREG coming in third place.
The biggest surprise of the group was the fact that North Academy looked well off the pace as they finished at the foot of the table without a single victory and a -36 round difference - which does not bode well for their chances at next week's DreamHack Winter.
Below you can find the final standings for Group A:
1.
GODSENT - Quarter-finals + World Finals spot
2.Ukraine - Promotion stage + World Finals spot
3.NOREG - Promotion stage + World Finals spot
4.Endpoint
5.North Academy
Group B, featuring the likes of BIG and Space Soldiers, will start shortly, with Fatih "gob b" Dayik's side taking on Nemiga in the first round of fixtures.
